Hi, I'm Benji, I'm 11 years old and I’m going to be climbing Cadair Idris in Wales to raise money for some amazing charities!

I’ve loved rock climbing for a few years, but this is my first ever proper mountain climb!

I’m raising money for:

Reserva, who are creating the world’s first youth funded rainforest reserve in Ecuador, and a marine protection zone in Panama!

I’m really proud to be on the youth council for Reserva, and have already protected over 7 acres of cloud forest!

Benfield Valley Project is very close to home, down the road from where my grandma lives and my mum grew up. It’s a really important wildlife corridor that is threatened with development, so the Benfield Project is trying to protect this area for wildlife and nature.

Sussex Wildlife Trust is our local wildlife trust, and they do so much important work protecting wildlife and nature in our county.

Coffees for Gaza is a grassroots organisation, supporting families and children on the ground directly. The money helps them to survive, as they have lost everything. We know lots of the families now, and I hope we’re able to raise some money for them.

I’ll be climbing with Emma, who is a rock climber and filmmaker, and Guy, who’s a professional mountain guide, thanks so much for this trip, I’m so grateful to be able to do this safely!

The route we’re doing will go straight up the rock, and need ropes and climbing equipment, and I’m so excited for my first every mountain climb!
