Look at this adorable little idiot. I was crafting at my L shaped desk, and he was sitting on top of my laptop on the other desktop, watching me. Then I heard a weird noise, looked over at him and saw the ends of my sewing thread disappearing into his face. I grabbed him and forced his mouth open but it was empty, too late to get it back. The needle was missing from the shelf above him and there was a telltale claw mark in the kneaded eraser I had used as a pincushion. My blood ran cold, I looked around the desk and shelf and no sign of the needle.

We threw his precious, furry, unwise little self into his carrier and started driving to the emergency vet, calling on the way, only to be told we would have to go to a different emergency vet an hour and 15 minutes away instead because they had no endoscopy vet on call at 2 in the morning. The vet near Milwaukee did, and they could see the needle sitting in his stomach on the x Ray. They believe they will be able to get it out and he’ll be OK! And then there was the small matter of the bill.

Now we are in the lobby of the emergency vet, we had to put down a $3900 deposit and it could be more by the time they are done. This was not in the budget. We feel very fortunate that we are in a position to save this foolish little buddy. But if you have some to spare, we would really appreciate help.
