Benji Needs Your Help for Eye Treatment
Donation protected
Hi everyone my name is Medina and I got Benji when I was just 11 years old, and I had no idea the role he’d end up playing in my life. From the moment I first held him to now, he’s been by my side every step of the way.
Benji is 11 years old now and recently developed a painful corneal ulcer in one eye, along with something called Horner’s syndrome. It’s essentially facial paralysis on one side, which makes his condition even more complicated. Because he can’t close his eye properly, the specialists believe he developed an infection that eventually led to a deep corneal ulcer. Surgery was an option, but due to his age, we chose an aggressive medication route instead.
He’s currently on five different eye drops, given multiple times a day, and we’ve been going back and forth to the vet for checkups, blood serum drops, and other treatments. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep up with his care, but the costs are piling up quickly, from specialist visits to medications that need constant refills.
I’m not someone who usually asks for help, but I’m just a college student trying to do everything I can for my boy Benji while also helping my parents with all the bills that have added up.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to both of us. And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this helps more than you know.
Thank you so much for reading our story.
