I'm raising money for gender affirming care. I knew I was non-binary from a very young age. I joined the waitlist for gender care in 2018. I started my medical transition in 2020, and was confirmed for surgery in 2023. However, at my 2025 gender clinic appointment, I was told that my referral had not even left the clinic yet, after over 20 months. Once it finishes in this wait list, it will be sent to a gatekeeper waitlist, before being sent on to the surgeons waitlist. It will be faster for me to go privately. Getting this surgery is on my mind every day, and I don't want to have to wait several more years for it. I just want to be able to wear clothes that fit properly, look in the mirror without being weirded out, and go swimming.
