Benjamins Rescue Mission
Donation protected
Benjamin is a 2-year-old mix-breed dog who was abandoned by his owner and left behind in a kill shelter in Los Angeles. Like so many sensitive dogs, the stressful shelter environment took a toll on his mental health, which led to the heartbreaking decision to place him on the euthanasia list.
Benjamin was scheduled to be euthanized on July 5th, and time was running out. With no rescue able to pull Benjamin on my behalf, I made the decision to fly to Los Angeles from Toronto on July 4th — booking a last-minute ticket.
Benjamin was still there & seconds from being forgotten. But he walked out with me. Alive.
Now that Benjamin is safe, he’s finally getting the love and care he deserves — but this rescue has come with significant costs. Between emergency travel, hotel accommodations, transportation & Benjamin’s transport.
I’m asking for help to recover some of the expenses so I can continue giving Benjamin the care he needs and deserves.
Cost Breakdown (So Far):
• Last-minute flight to L.A.: $1500
• Shelter pull fees: $50
• Transport & gas: $350
• Hotel: $700
• Transport to Canada: Pending (will likely be around $1000)
❤️ How You Can Help
If you feel moved by Benjamin’s story and want to be part of his journey, any contribution — no matter the size — means the world.
