Our 9 month old son Benjamin has recently been diagnosed with a moderate to severe case of plagiocephaly, caused by his traumatic birth experience. Benjamin was born via emergency c-section after his posterior positioning went unnoticed during labor and he was lodged in the birth canal for over one and a half hours. Because of the traumatic labor and his ill positioning, he came out with some troublesome head deformities.


Our pediatrician initially thought that his head would reshape with correct positioning at home overtime. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Now, Benjamin's plagiocephaly has gotten to the point where Doc Band intervention was recommended by Cranial Technologies--at a cost of $2500, which our insurance will not cover because they are out of network.

Because of his plagiocephaly, Benjamin has forehead bossing, asymmetrical ear position, and asymmetrical cheek fullness.

With COVID-19, we've been unable to account for emergency expense money as easily as we could have before due my fiance being furloughed by her job.
