Benjamin's Campaign for Santa Barbara Foundation

Mission: Santa Barbara Foundation is to mobilize collective wisdom and philanthropic capital to build empathetic, inclusive and resilient communities.

Since 1928, the community foundation has championed the philanthropic efforts of the people of Santa Barbara County, identifying the areas of greatest need and bringing together generous donors with those who do standout work in the nonprofit community. 

In honor of my Bar Mitzvah on December 19, 2020, I invite you to join me in making a difference. I'm raising money to benefit Santa Barbara Foundation's COVID Relief Fund, and any donation will have a direct impact on my community during this difficult time.

I chose the Santa Barbara Foundation COVID Disaster Relief Fund because I know right now we need to find a way to stop COVID and help those in need. The money that I will donate will go to individuals, families, and nonprofits that need funding. 

There are over 36 organizations in my immediate community that need funding right now, especially during COVID. The United Way of Santa Barbara County, Hutton Parker Foundation, and Santa Barbara Foundation are leading the COVID-19 joint response effort here in Santa Barbara. 

Many organizations around the country have been working hard to assist those in need during the pandemic. I chose Santa Barbara Foundation because I wanted to make a difference locally. The Santa Barbara Foundation works to connect resources that directly help people in need across Santa Barbara County. On the SBF’s webpage organizations can place requests on virtual bulletin boards for money, supplies, and volunteer work. Individuals can sign up to give food, time and/or money specifically to Santa Barbara County.

My goal is to raise $1500! Any gift you give will make a difference in the lives of others. In addition to your contributions I also plan to donate 10% of the monetary gifts I receive. I appreciate you helping me to reach my goal.
