As some of you may know, my little brother passed away on October 3'rd at the young age of 37. Ben was a father, a son, & a brother. He was a father to two sons as well as an uncle to five beautiful nieces who loved him very much. Ben had a heart of gold and would help anyone out whenever he could. He strived to make people proud of him. Ben served in the U.S Army and is a combat veteran who went on multiple tours in Iraq. Unfortunately, he as well as many other veterans brought back demons with him. He struggled for years with PTSD, leading to a battle with substance abuse. He wanted nothing more than to find ways to cope and actively sought help through the V.A and veteran organizations. He had just recently reached two & a half years sober but unfortunately succumbed to the demons that have remained for years. I received a call from Miami Dade police on October 3'rd that my brother was no longer with us. We are now tasked with returning his body to Cincinnati and covering his final expenses.
