Hi, my name is Benita & I'm fundraising for my beloved son Benjamin.
The family of Benjamin Evans with great sadness inform you of his untimely death Saturday, November 19th, 2022.
It is no secret that Ben suffered from the disease of addiction. It was from an accidental overdose that took him from us way too soon. There are no words to properly describe the sorrow we who love him are feeling at present. He will be so greatly missed.
Some may say that he lost his battle with addiction but if PEACE is the intended result of a battle fought long and hard then he has won. He is at peace now and knowing that gives us great comfort.
His family, mother Benita, father Craig, brothers Steven Evans and Drew Smith, sister Devin Garza, beloved niece Emma Evans, and sister in law Rebbeca Moir-Evans grieve his loss.
We extend our love and prayers to Amy Otten and her son Nate Diaz who are suffering at this time also. Ben loved them and so we love them. Please keep them in your thoughts.
Our heart felt gratitude goes to Sun City Centers. Ben felt safe while he was there and was able to begin to heal and learn how to live in sobriety. He thought of this place and the people there to be his extended family.
We somewhat regrettably are asking for your help in funding Ben's funeral arrangements. We wish we didn't have to but the reality of the situation is we do need your help. All funds generated will go to paying for the transport of his body and cremation.
As I write this, it is so hard to believe he is gone. I know you too must feel that way. As we all move forward in life we can take some time to look back and remember Ben. We would love to hear from you your memories of Ben and would love any photos of him you may want to share as well.
We thank you for visiting this site and may you all stay safe.
