I am Benjamin Devenyi, an European filmmaker and cinematographer in NYC.

My directorial approach always blends crime with comedy. I love exploring the contrast of controversial people in humorous situations. It makes them more relatable, helping the audience connect with characters who might otherwise seem distant or unapproachable. Beneath their tough exteriors, there's always a soft spot and that’s exactly where my stories live. This time, it’s about a sex worker trying to steer a man away from a life of crime, even though his bad choices mean more money for her. Will she succeed? Absolutely not.

My film combines the storytelling of No Hard Feelings (2023) and the visual approach of Uncut Gems in order to make a gritty dark comedy.
