This page was made by the uncle and aunts of Benjamin. His mother is a single parent — who is working on preparing plans to take him off island to see medical specialists.

Our 10 year old nephew- Benjamin, was struggling with pain prior to his last basketball game about a month ago. After seeing his primary doctor he was diagnosed with gout and hands-foot mouth disease, he was sent home with medications. Hoping he will feel better, instead he was falsely diagnosed and medications prescribed made his condition worsen.

He became more fatigued, and with more ailments- his body continued to shut down. He now has sores in his throat and mouth and his kidneys are not doing too well. He struggles with joint inflammation and blisters in his throat and mouth as he is only prescribed with over the counter Aspirin until they find out more answers. He struggles to get up on his own, eat or drink, go to school, play sports, smile, and most of all, be the Benjamin we all know and love.

Unfortunately, we have way more questions than answers at this time as doctors have diagnosed him with Lupus and referred him to a pediatric rheumatology and pediatric nephrology specialist in the Philippines

This page was established to support Benjamin and his mother, specific to their upcoming travel costs as he is estimated to be in the Philippines for at least 2 weeks. With that being said, we are kindly enlisting our friends, family near and far, neighbors to give whatever is in their heart to assist our sister and nephew navigate through this time of trial.
