Back in May, my mom noticed an infection on her foot which she was told she had to go to the hospital for. That visit marked the beginning of her extended absence from her home and family.

My mom has been in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation facilities since May, and as her daughter, this has been the toughest time in my life.

Most of the doctors in the hospital gave up on my mom and encouraged me to put her in hospice. But my family knew it wasn't the end and that she was capable of recovery!

My mom has endured so many inadequacies of healthcare, and she's done her part in hanging on and fighting to stay alive!

And now it's my turn to do my part and bring her to California to take care of her, help her continue to get stronger, and be her support during this second act of life.

But I need your help!

She has to leave the facility she is at right now because they do not have the staff to take care of her properly. And for her to fully recover and be hopeful for life again, she has to be with family.

My mom is currently immobile and I need to use non-emergency medical transportation to bring her from Virginia to California.

This will be by air with a nurse escort or ground transportation with experienced EMTs.

Quotes I've received are 10k to 15K, and unfortunately, I do not have the money for this or any other medical expenses that will come up as I transition her across the country.
