Ben's chance at healing
We are Ben Haberer's family and we are raising money to ease the financial burden on his family for his medical treatment coming up 7/5 - 7/16.
Ben will be seeking treatment for his daily severe headaches he has been experiencing since a head injury during a basketball game in February, 2002.
Ben and his family have sought treatment through many avenues over the last fourteen + years to no avail.
Cerebrum Health Centers "brings back life, hope and wellness through neurological rehabilitation treatment to traumatic brain injury patients" and requires up to 2 weeks of treatment at their Marietta, GA facility. Cerebrum Health Centers has had success in treating and healing cases very similar to Ben's. We are hopeful and praying our Father would grant Ben healing once and for all.
To Ben's knowledge, health insurance will not cover any of the expenses.
Please consider donating to help Ben and his family cover the anticipated $14,000 of out-of-pocket expenses he must pay upon his release from the treatment facility. $2,000 has already been paid as a required deposit, leaving a goal of $12,000 to be raised.
Ben will be a father of 4 this Fall; he is a husband, brother, son, nephew, step-brother, grandson, great-grandson, uncle and greatly loved by his family. He is an avid volunteer at church and in the community. He is a carpenter, customer service representative, handyman and musician. Ben, through his selflessness and servant heart, inspires all he is around to love and give more.
The following was written by Janet Early, Ben's mom:
"Most of you know that my son, Ben Haberer, has suffered with daily severe headaches since a head injury during a basketball game in February of 2002. In these fourteen plus years, Ben has not been one day without a headache. Trying to get help for him has been quite the journey. We've prayed and begged God to heal him. He's tried nearly everything. About 5 years ago he began to sense that it was not only going to be God's timing, but that it could be a multi-faceted approach. Rather than trying and then throwing out healthful concepts like, eating real food made by God, staying hydrated, embracing a good mental attitude, and regular chiropractic care he has continued with all of the above and continued to pray and believe God for a miracle. He will admit that at times he has wanted to give up all hope. I honestly don't know how he has functioned at such a high level while he has suffered so. Not to mention how his sweet wife, Sydney Haberer has suffered right along with him.
There is a world-renowned clinic that specializes in treatment of traumatic brain injury that has been in the Dallas, Texas area only. NFL players and others, including Glenn Beck, have traveled from all over the country to receive treatment at Cerebrum Health Centers (previously Carrick Brain Centers).
Anyway, here's the good part! Cerebrum Health Centers now has a second center and it is in Marietta, Georgia! Just 30 minutes from Ben's home.
Long story short, Ben is scheduled to begin treatment there on July 5th. He will receive treatment on an outpatient basis all day for 5 - 10 days. Here is the story of a patient they helped there who had had daily headaches for three years.
Won't you please join me in praying for Ben's miracle?"
We understand if you cannot donate money, but we do covet your prayers.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Ephesians 3:20
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!"
