Bengal to UC: Archa's Resilience
Donation protected
Hello kind souls,
I am Archa (Luna Lilith OceaNyx), and my story is one of ambition, resilience, and seeking justice in the face of adversity.
Hailing from the enigmatic heart of Bengal in eastern India, I arrived at UC Riverside bearing dreams vast enough to span continents. With the prestigious Dean’s Distinguished Fellowship, I embarked on my PhD journey at the Department for the Study of Religion, hoping to weave a harmonious fusion of art, activism, and academia.
However, rather than being met with the symphony of acceptance I anticipated, I found myself navigating a tumultuous sea of prejudice and isolation. From punitive conduct letters devoid of genuine dialogue, and inexplicable grading decisions, to unwarranted personal invasions, my odyssey at UC Riverside became an ordeal, both academically and personally.
Now, as I stand at a crossroads, my future clouded by academic politics and financial uncertainties, I'm reaching out to this vast community for support.
Your kind contribution will assist in:
- Legal and administrative costs to ensure justice and accountability in my academic journey.
- Continuing my studies and pioneering research, which holds the promise of groundbreaking contributions to the College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences.
- Supplying my basic needs such as food, water, rent, medical expenses, etc.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will be a step towards righting a wrong and championing the cause of inclusivity and fairness in academia.
Furthermore, sharing my story with your network will amplify my voice, ensuring that no other student has to endure such challenges in their quest for knowledge.
Together, let's send a powerful message: that the global community stands with those who dare to dream, even in the face of adversity.
From the depths of my heart, thank you!
Warmly,
Archa (Luna Lilith OceaNyx)
