Benefit for Ty
Donation protected
Some of you know, others may not, but Ty broke his back in September 2018. He woke up to go to work on the 26th and both legs gave out and he was partially paralyzed. By the 28th, he was in the hospital, undergoing a 4 hour surgery. The surgeons removed a 2 inch bone fragment from a ruptured L4-L5. His prognosis was good and the surgeon felt he would be able to start back to work, light duty, within 6 weeks.
Fast forward a few months... he wasn't making any progress. 3 hospital stays, 7 specialists, countless MRI's, CT scans, ultrasounds, medication changes, physical therapy, and innumerable tests later and we've had to file for disability and he may be facing more surgeries in the future. That was in March-April 2019. He is no longer able to drive and working will not be in his future. Here we are, almost a year later and we finally have a court date of April 22nd. For the last 11 months, we've been making ends meet as best we can, but the dollar can only be stretched so far before it's just not enough. This isn't an easy thing to do or to ask for, but God kept prompting and tugging until I responded. I've thought long and hard about a benefit and the ladies at church jumped on board and got the ball rolling. It is to God and to them, that we give our thanks for any assistance that comes our way.
All profits will be used to help pay for medical expenses and assist with living expenses since Ty hasn't received any income in the past year.
