Benefit for Stephanie Pate

On March 9th Stephanie started feeling sick and had bad back & leg pain. She decided she should go to the hospital because she knew something was wrong. She was admitted into the hospital and told she had diabetes and severe blood clots in her left leg and heart. This was all news to her. She was never aware she had diabetes nor was she sick or had any type of indication of the blood clots. She was taken into an 8 hour surgery two days later where they attempted to put stents in, but they said the blood clots where just too bad. They then informed us that they would have to amputate Stephanie’s leg from her knee down. She has since had the surgery. Stephanie has a long road ahead of her involving physical therapy and learning to adapt to a prosthetic. Her recovery will not only be physical and emotional but will have a large finical impact. Stephanie is a full-time hair stylist as well as full time caregiver to her 88-year-old father. Stephanie was in the process of remodeling a bathroom in her home for her father to easily be able to get around in his wheelchair before this happened. Stephanie is the most loving, giving, and hard-working women I know, and I know this time is going to be extremely trying for her, but she is strong, and she will be ok, and she will learn to do all of things she used to do again like babysitting and playing with her grandchildren!
