This Go Fund Me is for my husband Jason Jessmore, who is also a friend of many of yours.... it is to help our family with Jason’s unexpected medical situation (~Shayda Jessmore)
Chef Jason Jessmore has recently experienced his second stroke and is in need of our help.
This second stroke was a bit more extensive than the first. Jason has a blockage in a part of his brain, and the doctors are working hard to find out what has caused this. He is in PT and OT multiple times a week trying to regain strength and full mobility of his right side. He has been seen by a neurologist and cardiologist - and will be having a procedure done this week to keep looking for answers. Jason was out of work 2 1/2 weeks in September, and unfortunately his insurance benefits weren't due to kick in until October 1st. This has been a trying situation for Jason and his family, and the journey isn't done yet. But God is faithful, and we are so grateful he is alive, making progress recovering, and have the help/prayers of our friends and family.
Jason has been in the food and beverage industry for 20 plus years and has contributed to the vibrant central New York restaurant community for most of his career. He has always been one of the first people to offer his services to help local nonprofits and any fundraiser he is able to. Because of his dedication to other causes in the area and his contribution to the food and beverage industry, we want to be able to give back to him in his time of need.
