The purpose of this fundraiser is to give back to a man in need who has dedicated his time to give so much to his community and country. Matt Bender is an active Police Officer and Marine Corps Veteran. Matt was enjoying his favorite hobby, riding his motorcycle, when he was struck by a car. The impact caused him to suffer multiple serious injuries to his leg and foot. Matt has been at Westchester Medical Center receiving treatment and has undergone multiple surgeries. He is still battling the injuries in the hospital and hasn’t given up hope. He and his two lovely children did not ask for this fundraiser however, I know they would be eternally grateful for any help they can receive in this unfortunate time. Let’s show Matt how grateful we are for his dedication to his community and country by making the financial burden brought on by this situation as minimal as possible. Thank you for your support.
