Warm greetings to all the pure-hearted souls and defenders of freedom around the world,
I hope my voice—silenced and hidden from the world—can reach you today.
My name is Mohammed Wishah, a computer engineer from Gaza City, Palestine.
As many of you know, the situation in Gaza has become unbearable. Life here is nearly impossible: no food, no clean drinking water, no medicine.
To make matters worse, I lost my job when the building housing the company I worked for was bombed. Long and repeated internet outages have made it nearly impossible to get back on my feet or find new opportunities.
And as if that weren’t enough, I also lost my father after a long battle with illness—he was denied permission to seek treatment outside the country. We were helpless.
Still, I hold on to hope. I trust in the compassion of free people like you.
I appeal to your humanity and the mercy in your hearts to help me recover even a fraction of what I’ve lost during this devastating crisis, which has now continued for a year and nine months.
As I write this to you, I can barely see the words—exhausted, hungry, and physically drained, like so many of my fellow citizens in beloved Gaza.
Yet despite it all, I still believe in life.
I still believe in healing.
And I still believe in the power of humanity to bring change.
