I’ve been waiting to make a post until I had all the information needed to answer questions. Tomorrow will be 1 week since I’ve been in the hospital with Leo Abad . I’m going to try and give you the shortest explanation I can.

SHORT EXPLANATION : I broght Leo to the hospital for tummy issues and also the next day he had a heart catheter scheduled to help and get kidney transplant clearance from cardiology . They ended up admitting Leo to the hospital for his tummy issue and they did the heart cath the following day. During the heart cath Leo’s doctor descovered he has total blockage in the left side of his heart and his EF (ejection fraction - how well the heart is pumping blood) is only 11%. The doctors and surgeons have begun to run the testing that needs to be done to see if Leo’s body can withstand a double transplant. Heart and kidney together. As of right now that is the plan, to be placed on the heart transplant list now as well. All the testing can take about a week here in the hospital and also needs to be brought before the board for approval. Please please please help us pray that God puts his hand in everything and that his will be done. TBH we need all the help we can get right now. Thank you!

He estado esperando para hacer una publicación hasta que tuviera toda la información necesaria para responder preguntas. Mañana cumplirá 1 semana desde que he estado en el hospital con Leo Abad Voy a tratar de darte la explicación más corta que pueda.

CORTA EXPLICACIÓN: llevé a Leo al hospital por problemas de estómago y también al día siguiente tenía un catéter de corazón programado para ayudar y obtener una autorización de trasplante de riñón de cardiología. Terminaron ingresando a Leo en el hospital por su problema de estómago y le hicieron el catéter del corazón al día siguiente. Durante el catéter cardíaco, el médico de Leo descubrió que tiene un bloqueo total en el lado izquierdo de su corazón y su EF (fracción de expulsión - lo bien que el corazón está bombeando sangre) es de sólo 11%. Los médicos y cirujanos han comenzado a realizar las pruebas que hay que hacer para ver si el cuerpo de Leo puede soportar un doble trasplante. Corazón y riñón juntos. A partir de ahora ese es el plan, también ser puesto en la lista de trasplantes de corazón. Todas las pruebas pueden durar alrededor de una semana aquí en el hospital y también necesitan ser llevadas ante la junta para su aprobación.
