As many of you know, on June 26th, Ben was unexpectedly hospitalized. He experienced several great days over the last two weeks, but ultimately was not able to overcome all that he was up against. On July 10th, he went to be with his Lord in the presence of his family. 

To say that Ben was loved by many is an understatment.  An accomplished sports writer and editor, baseball genius, radio personality, and Birmingham Baron's Hall-of-Fame inductee, he lived a full life that he experienced with so many of you. In addition to his many accomplishments, he was loved deeply by his family and adored by his wife, Cathie. Many of you have recently asked how you can help. His family appreciates your continued prayers as they navigate the future without their beloved Ben.  Additionally, there are an overwhelming amount of expenses involved in hospitalization, funeral, and beginning life again after the loss of a spouse.

On behalf of his wife, Cathie Cook, we'd like to ask if you'd consider donating to assist with these unexpected costs. Any amount is appreciated. All money donated will be used, as Ben would wish, in order to help his family move forward from this tragedy, while honoring his memory.
