Bench in Memory of Alyssa!
Donation protected
I am currently undertaking a project to raise funds in memory of Alyssa Jane Manfredonia, a former student of Saint Jude and Saint John Paul II.
Alyssa was diagnosed with an inoperable, high-grade brain tumor on October 18, 2017, when she was just nine years old. Her family was informed that she had only 12 to 18 months to live. However, she enrolled in a clinical trial that granted her an additional five years. Tragically, the brain tumor returned, and Alyssa bid her final farewell surrounded by her family at the age of 15.
From her experience, she recognized that life is a precious gift and aspired to become a child-life specialist to assist other children battling cancer. Alyssa exhibited unparalleled bravery and consistently proclaimed, "God's Got This," from start to finish. She refused to let cancer define her. This year, she would have been graduating from Saint John Paul II, and I have no doubt she would have accomplished remarkable things. I remember seeing her every Sunday singing in the choir, always radiating kindness. Even in her darkest moments, she continued to shine her light. She made a lasting impression on me and everyone who crossed her path, embodying enough faith for the entire world.
In her honor, I aim to raise funds for a bench at Saint Jude Church to present to her family. It is essential that we remember her story and her devotion to God through this bench. With your support, I believe we can turn this vision into reality. Please consider donating to help make this possible.
