On May 11th, my father’s home of 44 years was taken by a devastating fire.  My father Lawson Benally Sr. was out of town selling produce (his retirement job) when the fire occurred.  Two of my older brothers were in the home and able to escape.  One had to be taken to the hospital and was treated for  minor smoke inhalation and 2nd degree burns.  We are so thankful that they are now out harms way and safe.  Their belongings and personal possessions were all destroyed. 

We are raising funds on my father and brother’s behalf, to assist with  the purchase of clothing, shoes, furniture, bedding, linens, kitchenware, and any expenses to help them work toward the rebuild of their lives

Fire victims face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope this fund will help with some of those challenges. It’s very sad that this had to occur during an uncertain time, however I am hopeful that that many will be so kind to help donate.  We know many people are facing hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation.
