Ben's journey with cancer

In January of 2020 Ben was first diagnosed with cancer, after an initial surgery to remove the tumor and a secondary surgery to remove infected areas that developed because of the first surgery we were finally able to get conclusive results on what we were dealing with.

Synovial Sarcoma - this is a very rare form of cancer, the local doctors that were initially treating this were not comfortable moving forward after the diagnosis and Ben was referred to the Mayo Clinic. 

After 2 days of testing and evaluation at Mayo Ben was given the unfortunate news that his only treatment option for this would be the amputation of his right leg.  Further testing is also being done to check for possibilities of it spreading elsewhere in his body, he should have some more results on that in approximately a week.

Due to all the extensive tests being done Ben has used up all of his paid time off from work,  as well as incurred countless other expenses along the way, I am hoping we are able to raise enough to get him through this difficult time and keep money problems out of his mind.  He has more important things to worry about at this time.
