Ben Yuen’s Recovery

Ben suffered a life threatening stroke the evening of January 6th, causing left side paralysis/neglect. He has been in the hospital since the incident and is estimated to remain hospitalized for rehab till mid February. At this point, the doctors and therapists are anticipating maximal assist even after discharge from rehab, which would mean that he will have to stay in a nursing home. 

He has a long road ahead of him for recovery but has made some progress thus far since starting rehab. His face already has more definition, and his speech is much clearer. He was also able to hold himself up in a seated position on his own for a few moments, which is a huge accomplishment. 

If you know Ben, you know he’s a hard worker. The same is true with therapy, and I believe he will recover with time. His therapists all commend his efforts and strength to keep putting the work in each and every day.
