Dear Friends and Family,

I'm Ben and I need your help to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

As many of you know, I started rowing as a sophomore in high school, at Lake Merced with Pacific Rowing Club. I row six days a week, and love almost every minute of it, although it is an extremely demanding sport for mind and body. I have an opportunity to participate in a rowing trip in June of 2016. If all goes well, I will travel to Seville, Spain on a row abroad trip with other high school students. On this trip, I will have the opportunity to live at the Seville Training Center, scull twice a day, and engage in Spanish-Language immersian for several hours per day for the two week trip. It is a dream of mine to row on international waters, and it's a perfect time to put my three years of classroom Spanish to use. I've never been to Europe, and I'm so curious and inspired to experience a new culture and see the beauty of a foreign land.
