Ben Orton Burn Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Ben was severely burned Friday June 21
Here are Kylie's (his wife's) words, "I've been getting a lot of messages regarding what happened to Ben, I cant get back to everyone so I'll inform you here. Ben had a bad accident with starting a fire and a 5 gallon gas can exploded on him. He was Life flighted last night to EIRMC in Idaho Falls.
He has third degree burns on his right hand, torso, neck and on his face. He is in great hands and we have an amazing medical team working to get him on the road to recovery. Right now he is in ICU on a ventilator to help keep his airways open because he did burn his esophagus.
Thank god he is comfortable and communicates with hand squeezes, thumbs up or down, head nods and toe wiggles. Its gonna be a long road to recovery, all I ask is send prayers and healing intentions to Benny. He is a champ and my rock. We won't have visitors for a long while, due to infection control. Thanks for the love and support, it means more than you ever know❤"
The initial diagnosis is about 5 days in intensive care followed by about a month in the hospital. They are going to need lots of Prayers and faith on the long road to recovery. As always there will be plenty of medical bills to cover. Any amount will help. Update: 6-25-19 We have had amazing response over the last few days. Recently Kelly Orton (Ben's Mother) has opened a checking account and added Ben and Kylie (Ben's Wife) on the account also. Due to the limitations imposed on Ben and Kylie by her CF disability insurance and the implications from the generosity of those who have donated it is in Ben and Kylie's best interest that Kelly Orton be appointed as the Beneficiary and custodial for the funds raised.
