Ben Newcomb loses all in CA Bay Area Fire

Donation protected

On Tuesday, August 18th, My brother  Ben Newcomb and his son Zachary narrowly escaped the fire just outside of the Bay Area in Northern California. Ben is the conservator and primary caregiver to his adult son with autism, Zachary. Zachary lost his prized hot wheels cars that he has been collecting since childhood, well over a 1000 cars.

They had to evacuate without warning and lost everything to the fire.

Ben has been a licensed broker and realtor over the last 20 years, and a licensed architect before that. He was fixing up a house outside of Healdsburg in Northern California Wine country, over the last two years to sell this fall, so besides losing all of his belongings, he also lost two years worth of improvements and sweat equity on his property, and of course insurance does not cover everything and will take an unknown amount of time to process any claims.

He and Zachary are in need of immediate help to buy basic necessities while searching for temporary housing.

We are from the Midwest Quad Cities IA/IL so family is not nearby.
