Ben Life Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Yesterday our worst nightmare happened & we found out that our foster dog Ben had a blockage in his small intestine due to eating some of his bedding.
We are not financially prepared to pay for his vet care, but we have taken out care credit cards to ensure that he gets the lifesaving care he needs.
His care will cost between 7k - 10k.
Until this point, we have been financially dedicated to making sure that Ben gets the training & care he needs to find his forever home. We have paid for his food, gear, heartworm medication, & provided free training to him. We found a wonderful potential adopter for him & we were planning on continuing with discounted training sessions to support Ben further. However, we were not anticipating him needing a life-saving surgery at such a large cost.
We would greatly appreciate any donation you can give to help us pay back our care credit cards for Ben’s surgery. Even $1 is helpful.
Going forward, we are still determined to help Ben finish his training & settle into his forever home. He has made a huge amount of progress under our care; he has proven to be a really fun, smart, & social dog. This event gave us insight into the management he will need to have going forward & does not change our opinion about him being an adoptable dog. He will not have access to bedding after this incident & his new owners will be educated on the necessary management he needs to prevent issues like this in the future.
Thank you so much for all of your support!
