Our much loved son, husband, and father, Ben Griffin, is facing the toughest challenge of his life.

Ben, only 43, has lived courageously for years with a pituitary tumour that was first treated when he was in his mid-20s. With medication, he was able to enjoy a full and happy life in Mexico with his wife, Sandra, and their beautiful 7-year-old daughter, Alexa.

However, during a recent visit to the UK, Ben’s health suddenly deteriorated. When he returned to Mexico, things worsened dramatically, and on September 14th, Ben underwent an emergency craniotomy due to a brain bleed. He spent two weeks in intensive care and a further four weeks in hospital.

On October 20th, Ben was finally allowed home — but only with 24-hour nursing care, along with intensive physiotherapy, speech therapy, and ongoing medical treatment.

Ben’s recovery will be long, demanding, and very costly. To give him the very best chance of regaining his independence and returning to the life he loves, we are reaching out to friends, family, and anyone moved by his story.

Our Goal

We aim to raise £60,000, which will cover:

• 24-hour nursing care: £3,000/month

• Speech therapy & physiotherapy: £1,000/month

• Medication & medical essentials: £1,000/month

This totals £5,000 per month, for at least 12 months of essential rehabilitation.
