Ben Drennan’s Fight Against Cancer

Have you met our dear friend Ben? The ballooning world brought Ben into the Weiners' life and he is so close to us that we lovingly call him “the good brother”. He’s the one who will drop everything he is doing to come help you. He will listen to you when you need to talk. He will be your shoulder to lean on when you need help. He is always there, no matter what.

Well, now he needs our help…but Ben being Ben means he will never ask.

About a month ago Ben started feeling run down. After several medical visits, a CT scan showed a large mass on his kidney, clearly indicating cancer. Since then it has been a whirlwind of tests, doctors visits and more scans. His medical plan is in flux, but he definitely will be having surgery to remove his kidney and the involved surrounding tissue.

If you have had a medical procedure recently, you know how quickly the copays and deductibles add up. We are hoping to ease some of that financial (and psychological) burden by creating this page to help Ben, Liz and Isaac through this difficult time.
