Ben Davis Liver Transplant
Donation protected
Austin's Dad, Beth's Husband, Audrey's Son and our Brother, Friend and Heart.
That only begins to describe Ben Davis. How do I put into a few words a persons life? How he cried when his son was born, how he rolled out of bed at 3:30 am to go to work and provide for his family, all the times people visiting their home have laughed until their belly hurts. He has never met a stranger, and will do anything for anyone. He coaches JV Soccer at Mathews High School and was Volunteer of the year at the local YMCA. He is the person you called at 2 am because you did something stupid, and need his truck and some chains to pull you out.
Well now he, Beth and Austin need help. After many years of debilitating, unexplained illnesses, and multiple units of blood and surgeries, the doctors have discovered he needs a new liver. Not because of anything he did, but because of genetics, his liver is failing, the pressure builds up and the millions of blood vessels in his stomach bleed. After years of not being able to make enough blood to survive his bones have weakened and are breaking. A cough can breaks a rib, and getting out of a chair can break his back or hip. The cycle has gotten the best of him medically.
The surgery alone is going to be almost a million dollars and luckily their medical insurance will cover most of it. But on top of being critically ill he has to raise enough money to cover the copay's, Medications and others expense. He needs a lot and he needs it as soon as possible. We are going to have as many fund raisers as we can, and have set up a Bank Account through Sun Trust Banking as well. We need Hard Cold Cash for his copay's and more importantly we need Prayers. Prayers that one of us is a match for the liver donation, that he gets it soon enough to save his life, and that his medical team is guided by the Hand of our Almighty God. Please help, Please Pray, and Please Share.
Thank you
