Ben, Dave and Luke take on 2 MTB challenges!

Myself, Dave Mortimer and Luke Cooper have decided to raise money for an excellent local charity, Outfit Moray by taking part in not one but TWO mountain bike challenges!! We are regular biking pals, who spend most of the time taking the mick out of each other while we plod about the trails. Both these events will push us to our limits, but its all for a great charity.

Event No 1 - Strathpuffer24

This is a 24hr race that we will be taking part in as a team. It is run in mid January, so the temp always hits Minus figures and most years has a lot of snow! Event No2 - Cairngorm 2 Coast

This is a 100km, off road ride starting in the Cairngorms and finishing in Lossiemouth. A hard slog for even the fittest of people, let alone us 3 who ride for the laughs. I am not sure if we will be laughing at the end of this ride, especially with Dave's map reading skills!

These two events are way out of our comfort zone, hopefully we will still be friends at the end of them. We have started to prepare for them but we have no idea how we prepare for the extreme temperatures the "Puffer" is going to throw at us.

Why have we chosen Oufit Moray?

Outfit Moray is changing lives of young people in Moray through outdoor learning & adventure activities, using the local breath-taking environment as our classroom & playground.

With outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, surfing, kayaking, abseiling, mountain biking & more we are also able to provide holiday & respite weeks for local vulnerable groups. We are able to support vulnerable & disadvantaged young people, actively developing potential & helping shape their future.

Outfit Moray has provided unbelievable opportunities for my children, children of our friends and many many more children. It survives on donations and volunteers, without the donations children will be missing out on unbelievable opportunities.
