Ben Cheatwood Memorial Fund

As many of you now know, the family and friends of Ben Cheatwood suffered a terrible loss on August 10th. Ben never met a stranger and certainly did not have any shortage of people in his life that called him a son, a brother, a friend, and a partner. Ben lit up our lives with his vibrant personality, contagious smile, and unyielding loyalty to those he loved. Ben's friends have started this fund as a way to give back to both Ben and his family members. We humbly ask that you contribute to his memorial fund so that we can shine on his life the way he always shone on ours. No contribution is too small to honor the life of such a fantastic person. Memorial service details will be provided when available.

A quick update on the allocation of the funds. I am Evan Jordan, and I have been managing this memorial fund. I was close friends with Ben and am very close with the Cheatwood family. I have spoken with Lynn at length and several times during the planning of the memorial event, and I will be transferring the funds to my account and covering all memorial costs in Lynn and Darrell's behalf. Once funeral costs are covered, the remainder of the funds will be allocated to a memorial tree with a plaque at Ben's favorite dog park. A small portion of the funds will go to future care for his dog, Charlie, something Lynn was very adament about. After these expenses any remaining balance will be transfered to Lynn Cheatwood via a check.
