Remembering Ben Boulton

Donation protected
On June 10, 2022, my only brother, Ben Boulton, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident in Loveland, Colorado. He was 26 years old. Due to the nature of Ben's death and his unexpected passing, there are many upcoming expenses that our family will need to take care of in the coming weeks. My parents will be traveling to Colorado this week to collect his things and drive his car back to Michigan. We are planning to have a service in July as soon as we can make definite arrangements. Although we don't expect much, any amount would help to offset the costs after this tragedy. It's hard for us to ask for help when we need it, but this will hopefully make the burden a little lighter. Thank you.

Obituary:

Ben was the third child and only son of Jeff and Linda (Hofmann) Boulton. He was born on May 12th, 1996, in their farmhouse in Monroe, Michigan and attended Ida and Bedford schools. He graduated from Bedford High School in 2014, where he was popular and well-loved by his peers. He had been working for the Tile Shop since 2018 and was a manager at a store in Denver. His co-workers described him as a hard worker who always went the extra mile, even if it meant he was working too much.

Growing up, Ben was a part of Royal Rangers, Boy Scouts, and Young Marines. He loved doing anything outdoors, like fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. If there was a reptile or amphibian nearby, he would find it and catch it to show everyone he was with. His bedroom was full of terraniums with different critters he loved to show off to family and friends when they came to visit, even if they freaked them out. He loved all things Marvel and had an extensive comic collection he was proud to display on his bedroom walls, often attending the midnight premier of each new movie in the Marvel Universe. Ben was also a big fan of EDM music and went to many festivals and concerts to see his favorite artists, like Illenium and Excision, often with a large group of friends. Ben was well known by many people as a social, goofy, outgoing guy who was not afraid to do something silly in public or talk to a total stranger about anything. If you were going somewhere with Ben, it would be a memorable experience in some way. He was close to his sisters Katelyn, Hannah, and Rachel and talked to them every day to tell them about his life in Denver and share pictures and videos of the Rocky Mountains he loved so much. Ben was the type of person who could make you feel special and seen and make you laugh all at once. He could push your buttons but you couldn't stay mad at him because he was so lovable. His family doesn't feel complete without him.

Ben is survived by his mother and father, Jeff and Linda Boulton; his sisters Katelyn (Boulton) Lusher, Hannah Boulton, and Rachel Boulton; his brother-in-laws, Andrew Lusher, Eric Gutowski, and Reda Doballah; his grandma ("Honey"), Judy Janiszewski; his grandpa, Dale Boulton; his nephew, Ryder Jackson; his girlfriend, Mckenzie Hilsen, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his grandpa, Jim Aiken; his grandpa, Tom Hofmann; and his grandma, Helen Boulton.
