Fundraiser for Ben’s Funeral
It is with broken hearts that we share the devastating news that Ben, aged just 25, has tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident.
I have been close friends with Ben’s mum, Sue, for over 20 years and have had the privilege of watching Ben grow up. He was a fun-loving, kind and gentle soul who always had a smile on his face and brought warmth to everyone around him. Ben had his whole life ahead of him, and his loss has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Ben deserves the very best final send-off — one that reflects the beautiful person he was. Sadly, like so many young people, Ben had no life insurance and had made no plans for his funeral, because who ever expects to need to at such a young age.
We are asking anyone who knew Ben, loved him, or would simply like to help his family during this heartbreaking time, to consider donating whatever they can towards his funeral costs. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help give Ben the dignified and loving farewell he truly deserves.
Any remaining funds raised will be donated in Ben’s memory and split between:
Brake, the charity that supports families affected by road traffic collisions, who have been supporting Ben’s family during this time
The Great North Air Ambulance, whose critical care team attended the scene and worked tirelessly to try and save Ben’s life
Let’s help Ben take his final journey surrounded by love — and imagine him now dancing in the sky, forever young and forever smiling.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support and generosity.
