Ben and Sean's Great Ocean Ride

On, October 29, we (Sean and Ben) will be riding from Melbourne back to Adelaide, via the Great Ocean Road (over 1000kms total), fully self-supported on just our pushbikes! This means that everything we will need to complete the trip successfully (sleeping equipment and shelter and food prep equipment) will be carried on our bikes. Why are we doing this? We're doing this to help raise money for a great mental health organisation, Headspace Onkaparinga, as well as raising awareness of mental health services that exist for young Australians.

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation that provides early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support, and alcohol and other drug services. Mental health is an important area of both of our lives, and we believe that a major step towards for our society will involve the elimination of stigma surrounding mental health issues and treatment.

All money donated will go towards funding future programs at Headspace Onkaparinga with the aim of reducing the various stigma surrounding mental health present in our society.
