From the outside, what The Joshie-Man is doing looks extraordinary.

A nonspeaking autistic child influencing conversations across countries. Opening doors that were firmly shut. Shifting how people see communication, dignity, and who gets listened to.

Globally.

But what most people do not see is what sits underneath all of that impact.

The intensive therapy programme that makes this possible.

It is not symbolic. It is not optional. It is daily, specialist, and essential. It supports Joshua’s regulation, learning, and communication so he can keep showing up in the world the way he does.

And it comes at a high cost.

Even with relentless effort, sacrifice, and determination, I have seen from looking from the outside, and for my own personal experience with Autism, that naturally Joshua’s family will struggle to find the balance between supporting his therapy program and continuing to lead with global advocacy.

No family should have to choose between impact and access to the support their child needs.
