UPDATE: One of the high school teams also won a spot to World's. So now we're raising money for two teams! This is an experience that will teach the kids so many life lessons on teamwork and hard work.
---------
Our Bemidji Middle School team, Lumberjacks, won a spot in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX in April! This is a great opportunity for the boys since it's very hard to get into this competition. Teams are coming from ALL over the world!! It's expensive to get from Bemidji to Dallas and it will be 4 nights in a hotel. Please support the team so they can have this great experience that will impact their future.
Each week, students apply what they’ve learned about STEM in the classroom to build these semi-autonomous machines. An equally important set of skills is learned through the competition – communication, project management, time management, and teamwork.
We are proud of these students for their ability to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to building and programming a competition robot from ideation to completion. It’s been remarkable to see what they’ve accomplished in a few months and inspiring to think about the positive impact they will have on the world around them.
