On December 30th, our dad, Dave Freeman, lost everything but what he was wearing when the Marshall Fire roared into his life. He fought the flames with a fire hose for several minutes and had put his porch out when a large gust blew the fire into him scorching his face, eyes, and throat. He took a ride with a neighbor to the hospital and spent two nights in the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. He’s out of the hospital now, but needs to rebuild his life. He’s a loving father, loyal friend, and Vietnam veteran who is retired from civil service with the City of Louisville. His home of 35 years was under-insured. Dad, er, Dave is the sweetest, most modest guy you could meet who reluctantly gave us permission to make this page for him. We humbly ask that you consider donating to help Dave start the process of returning his life to some sense of normalcy. Funds will be spent on medical copays and replacing his home.
Thank you for any assistance you can give. Everything helps. And if all you can give is good thoughts, those are appreciated too. Peace to you all.
