Beloved Mama Mary - Hospital and Funeral Costs

Hello everyone - this is Stephanie Williams, Margaret Lewis' daughter. As you probably have heard, Mama Mary, Davis Otieno's dear mother, passed away on Wednesday January 12th after an illness (we think it was cancer in her internal organs). We are heartbroken about this loss and the pain and grief for Davis. Mama Mary provided the foundation for Village Project Africa, having started the ministry with widows that VPA was built upon. Those of you who have visited them in Kenya know what a special person Mama Mary was and how her loving and solid spirit permeated the work that Davis and my mom and all the others do.

Mama Mary last days were spent in an intensive care unit in a hospital in Nairobi. The medical bills are heavy - and now the funeral costs will be as well. We would all be so grateful for any financial support you may feel moved to share with Davis as he faces these obligations.

Mama Mary will be deeply missed. We also ask for your prayers for Davis and the rest of Mama Mary's family as they journey through this loss.
