Yesterday, our mom who many of you know as the beloved lunch lady at school lost her home in the 3-alarm apartment fire in Spring Branch. To us, she’s Mom and Grandma, but to the community, she’s a kind, hardworking woman who has served countless children with a smile.

She has lived in her apartment since 2011, and sadly, everything she owned could not be saved. As many of you know, lunch ladies don’t get paid during the summer, and with school just starting back up, she is already stretched thin financially. While she has been provided with a hotel room temporarily, she will eventually need to move into a new apartment. Unfortunately, the affordable rent she had for so long is impossible to find now, making this transition even more difficult.

We are asking for any support you can give whether it’s a donation of any amount or simply sharing this fundraiser with others. She is deeply loved in the Spring Branch community, and we want to help her get back on her feet after this devastating loss.
