Beloved Co-Worker in Need of Help to Avoid Homelessness
Donation protected
Our friend, Seana, is a single mother of five, caring for her four youngest children and elderly mother, 73 years old. She and her family are being evicted from their home through no fault of her own. She and her family have rented the same home for the past 10 years but sadly the owner passed away and now the landlord’s children want to sell the home. There will be no money back, as in the form of deposits, and Seana does not make enough money to cover all the fees associated with renting a home. Seana and her family must vacate by September 30, 2024. As result, Seana and her family are facing homelessness. Seana’s family means everything to her, and she is worried about what lies ahead.
I got the idea of starting a GoFundMe (which I have never done before) because Seana is such a great person, and no mother and children should be forced into homelessness.
When Seana started working at our daycare center, it was immediately clear that she was a kind-hearted soul. She truly would do anything she possibly could to help someone in need or just do something nice for someone. When I told her I wanted to start a GoFundMe for her, she started to cry and said, “No! People are hurting and can’t afford to buy food let alone help a stranger.” I assured her only people who have the means would help. So, she talked it over with her eldest daughter and they decided it would be a blessing for them.
Seana has MS and used to work full time even though she often didn’t feel well. But she sustained a head injury this year and her doctor insisted she cut her hours. But when she’s at work, she works very hard and efficiently and ALWAYS has a huge smile on her face, even though she’s really worried.
Words from her eldest daughter, KaRoyce:
Seana is a single parent of five, caring for her four youngest children and elderly mother of 73 years old. Despite having MS she works hard through her everyday pains to keep her children stable with a home and all that they need, she is a constant in our lives that keeps our family afloat with her efforts, care and hard work. After her recent head injury and reduced hours, the foundation that kept our family fully supported is now unstable from her partial income and no one feels that more than her. Facing her struggles head on despite her efforts feeling miniscule, she works hard as a mother, provider and confidant for not just her family but those around her. Struggling to recover fully from her recent head injury and being in constant pain from MS, the stability provided from her income has left us in a bind and unable to reach our next destination in a stable home. To see her wake every day despite the issues she faces and go to work with a smile and positive attitude is why I ask for assistance now so I can see her be able to confidently return back to standing on her own two feet.
Please, if you can, donate to our cause to get this family under a roof. No amount is too small. Whatever you are able to share, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
