On Saturday, November 21, the SONIC Drive-In team in Bellevue, Nebraska was attacked, leaving two of our team members dead and two critically injured. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and concern for our employees and appreciate everyone.
Many people have asked what they can do to help. As we work to rebuild, we know there are and will be out of pocket expenses facing our team members and their families ranging from funeral expenses to medical expenses. We are providing grief counseling for our team and planning a permanent memorial at the drive-in when it is rebuilt.
If you’d like to join us in making a difference, please give. Funds will be distributed to team members and their families. If any funds remain after needs are met, we will create a scholarship fund for Sonic team members in Omaha to continue their education.
We are praying for Kenny and Zoey to make full recoveries and we will miss Ryan and Nathan. Our sorrow is immeasurable and their families will remain in our prayers.
