January 14, 2017-
At 2:00 AM, Islamic Center of Eastside in Bellevue, Washington was set on fire.
Thankfully, there are no injuries and no one was inside when the burning happened.
Isaac Wayne Wilson pleaded guilty and was charged with second degree arson. He was sentenced to14 months in prison and was just released a week ago.
March 21, 2018-
Just over a year later, yet again, at 4:45 PM this beloved mosque was set on fire. At the time, we are unsure whether or not it was accidental but there were reports of a man fleeing the scene just as the fire was spotted.
While the last fire damaged the rear and interior of the building, this one took out the entire front of the building as well.
Thankfully, again, the building was vacant but the community needs help in rebuilding the rest.
Any amount is beneficial and will be appreciated.
