BellÉpoque Ensemble premiering "Tres Imágenes de Juventud"

Join us in supporting the Belle Époque Ensemble at our concerts on the 2nd and 16th of June!

We are the Belle Époque Ensemble, a woodwind sextet composed of six students from the Mediterranean coast who met during their first year of studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam:

- Anna Phylactou - Bassoon - from Cyprus

- Andrea Muñoz Quintana - Oboe - from Spain

- Nuria Tello Nieto - Clarinet - from Spain

- Ruben Hudnik - French Horn - from Slovenia

- Vicente Romero Carrilero - Flute - from Spain

- Enrique Álvarez del Moral - Piano - from Spain

After two years of playing together, this project emerged with the hope and support of our mentor, Willem van Merwijk, who composed a new piece dedicated to us. The main reason we want to organize this concert is the excitement of bringing new music to this not-so-common ensemble.

We will be premiering Guillermo Lago's piece (artistic name of W. van Merwijk), "Tres Imágenes de Juventud." This piece embodies the inspiring and youthful energy of a group of young musicians, and we believe this piece deserves to be heard!

The program includes:

1) Thuille's Sextet (1891)

2) Premiere of Guillermo Lago's new composition "Tres Imágenes de Juventud"

3) Poulenc's Sextet (1932)

Funds raised will go towards covering rehearsal expenses, preparation, musicians' fees, and other associated costs of bringing this exciting concert to life.
