Belle was surrendered because she has Mega Esophagus and her owner did not want to spend money to treat her. In Belle’s case it is a congenital heart defect called PRAA. Some tissue from her aorta is strangling her esophagus, so she is unable to eat. With surgery to snip this excess tissue, she could recover and have a normal life. I can’t afford to pay for the surgery, I am just a medical foster; I am hoping that as a village, we can come together and give her a chance at a healthy, happy life!!
