Just months ago, Belle was unstoppable—a gymnast, karate champion, hockey skater, dancer, and all-around athlete. Now, she’s lost the ability to walk and is learning to take steps again.

Her world has been turned upside down by severe pain, muscle weakness, and mobility challenges that have taken away her independence. Once thriving in sports and the arts, Belle now relies on a walker just to move. Insurance won’t provide a properly sized walker anytime soon, so we had to purchase one out-of-pocket to help her regain mobility.

But recovery isn’t just physical—it’s mental, emotional, and social too.

Belle is brilliant, curious, and excelling in the gifted and talented program at school. She loves learning and soaks up knowledge like a sponge—but right now, her biggest challenge isn’t academics, it’s staying positive and engaged while navigating her recovery.
