UPDATE
FIONA is not in need of surgery. Her fracture is pretty small. Bones are aligned. So they will heal back together with a hard splint and will take about 6 weeks.
BELLE has a very bad Tibia fracture. Bones are separated, unaligned, and stacked. Will be needing surgery and is scheduled to go in Monday morning the 25th at 8am to have the procedure done. Was quoted to cost anywhere from 3k-4k. PLEASE continue to share and donate what you possibly can. Anything helps. The babies were super lucky and I’m beyond happy to have them here still. Thank you for all the support. Truly means a lot. ❤️
Hello. My name is Emanuel. Tonight on July 16th 2022 upon returning home, I opened my front door and both Belle and Fiona bolted out of the door. Unfortunately, they ran around my building then proceeded to cross the street and were both struck by a vehicle at the same time. Many walking in the area witnessed the driver hitting them then leaving the scene (I was not present to witness what happened). As I came around the corner, I could see Fiona running back home and Belle laying in the middle of the crosswalk surround by a few people. After taking them both to the emergency animal hospital, the doctor stated that Fiona’s front wrist is broken, Belles right hind shin is broken, and Belle has some discomfort in pelvic area. Blood work and vitals checked out great and no crying. Both have been given some pain meds and been bandaged up pretty good.
He also stated that they will need surgery. Tonight for the emergency exams, ultrasounds, meds, and bandages, it cost 2k out of pocket that had to be paid in full. Now I will be taking them to a clinic Monday morning to get x-rays done and plan for surgery.
My heart absolutely hurts for my princesses. Fiona is 2 and Belle is 6. Still young and my whole heart. Unfortunately I don’t have insurance for them, so all of the costs will be out of pocket. I would appreciate any and all help that I receive. Please help me keep my baby girl’s afloat. ❤️
