Jon and Tamberlyn Dickinson, of Dickinson's Delights, are really going through it (yes, again).
Their daughter Bella went to be seen for double vision and then was whisked away to Albany Med and had emergency surgery. She had complications from an ear infection. (This could happen to any of us!) The doctors did a partial removal of bone and she is now undergoing ongoing treatment for a blood cot and abscess.
She's now home in bed recovering after her week in the hospital. Tamberlyn and Jon are trying to run their business and also stay bedside for Bella as they have to administer several doses of medication as well as multiple shots every day. It hasn't been an easy run, with nausea and stomach upsets and all of that along the way.
I'm sure you can imagine the stress this family is going through as they are self-employed, trying to get it all done during a busy holiday season, and be there for Bella. And what a lot Bella is going through, missing her holiday parties at school and all the rest of the fun.
Meanwhile, the Dickinson family is months, weeks, maybe even days away from welcoming a new little one into their family. They have been on the list for adoption forever it seems and their time is coming near.
If financial support isn't something you can offer, maybe you can bring them a meal, send them a card, or drop off a treat as they are going through a super hard time and deserve the support of their community.
